Holbrooks Health team has received confirmation that it will be ‘hub’ for the Covid-19 vaccine. Being a hub means appointments will be booked across the 12 practices who form the GP Connect Primary Care Network (PCN). All practices will have equal access-the hub belongs to all the practices not Holbrooks Health team. The first cohort of patients will be those over 80 years old.
Once we have received confirmation of a start date, all practices in our PCN will begin inviting patients aged 80 years and over to an appointment (care home residents and housebound patients will be contacted separately by our CCG colleagues). We will only have enough vaccine for 975 patients. It is expected that we will receive vaccines every 3 weeks for 975 patients at a time. Appointments may not always be available for booking if we need to wait for confirmation of any delivery. This is out of our control and we therefore ask patients to be patient with us.
Please do not ring the practice to book an appointment unless you have received an invite to do so. Patients will only be booked in the age cohort that has been agreed by DOH/NHSE/JCVI – no appointments will be booked for any other age group in any circumstances.
